I used to have a boyfriend called Epic who had a lot of dietary restrictions. He was allergic to gluten, eggs, dairy, soy, peanuts and a few other things. I’m lactose-intolerant, allergic to soy, can’t eat much sugar and don’t usually like meat. Well, shit! What the hell could we eat?

Luckily I like to cook, and Antler Pie started out as my little venture to feed us food as nourishing as possible despite the restrictions. Everything is gluten-free, casein-free, soy-free and peanut-free. There’s lots of chicken-egg-free options as well. It’s also fairly grain-free (oh boy, I love me those pseudocereals) and low glycemic.

I have another blog dedicated to my art & comics, called Milkweed. There might be crossover if I make any recipe comics.

Hi, thanks for your comment on my blog. Wow looks like quite a lot of food allergies you have there…would be super challenging to make food…looking forward to read more! 🙂

Thanks! And y’know, it actually works out. He can eat the bacon & hashbrowns while I eat the eggs and toast. 🙂 There’s just a few things in here we really *shouldn’t* eat, but none of the allergies are deadly. It’s more of a, “if it makes you feel gross, why bother?”
